I’m Dr. Prashita Dabas, a scientist, an artist, and a woman with ADHD looking for ways to make learning ‘not boring’.

That’s me, AND my favourite colors are Pink 🌸 and Yellow 💛

I love learning but textbooks make me fall asleep (I am a visual learner 🙈). So, I borrow some help from ‘art’ and use illustrations, doodles, diagrams, and flowcharts to understand the concepts better. I love teaching too. My friends say that I am pretty good at explaining stuff in an easy way.

Currently, I am working on a book (that’s not a big fat textbook) that might help students like me. I aspire to take away the resistance of ‘not understanding’ or ‘finding books boring’ and help them become better learners. I am also working on this website on the side, so you'll likely notice new changes here every day, haha!

  • I did my PhD in Forensic Genetics, which has been an exciting and challenging journey. Before that, I did my master's degree in Forensic Sciences, where I learned all about different fields of forensic science. My undergraduate degree is in Zoology Honours, which provided me with a strong foundation in biological sciences.

  • As a college student, I never developed the habit of learning from books. The big, fat, and ‘texty’ books kind of intimidated me. So, online content and videos became my primary source of information. This worked well for my other biology subjects, but I struggled to find quality content about forensics 🥲

    Now that I feel skilled enough to use my academic knowledge and creative skills to build something valuable, I want to create a go-to place for students looking to study forensics 💛🙌🏻
